Free Xbox Live Gold Subscription - Can you Get Free Xbox Live

Free Xbox Live - Can You Really Get a Free Xbox Live Gold Subscription

Can you really get a free xbox live subscription and get free xbox live gold? Thousands of people every month ask this question or something along those lines.  In this article I am going to say whether you really can get free xbox live membership or whether it is just a myth or a scam.

Get the real thing - Xbox Live Gold And Save Money

Free Xbox Live Code Generators

You often hear talk of xbox live code generators and there are many searches every month for that exact thing. The truth is this simply don't work and are not worth trying.

Many sites claiming to give you free xbox live gold subscriptions are actually phishing sites and use your details and can get your credit card details and other private information. I also often hear of many people's xbox live accounts being stolen and their hotmail addresses through these sites.

The message here is never enter your personal details on a site claiming free xbox live gold membership. You may even receive an email from a friend saying that these sites are genuine but normally this is the hackers using their email address to try and get even more people to fall for their scam and use your personal details. If you really want to try one of these sites out and think your friend recommended it - ring them and I bet you they have not received a free Xbox live membership!

That is just one problem another is if you have to download software these types of things often have viruses and spyware which can spy on what you do.

After all that you will find even if you have no viruses you will find that the code does not work and you will have wasted your time.

And even if you had none of these problems this would be illegal and you could be prosecuted for it!

As I am sure you can see it is really not worth it - when you think about it if these people really could get unlimited xbox live memberships why would they give them away to you for free and why are they not selling them for £30 or $50 each! I sure know if I could get unlimited free xbox live codes I would not let anyone have them for free and I am a nice person!

Free Offer Sites

I also sometimes see things like complete three offers and refer two friends and you will get a free xbox live membership.  This is not the case and often the only people earning anything are the referrers and that probably is the only way of getting free xbox live - by tricking others!

The only genuine site I know that gives away things for doing things like answering questions, watching videos, referring friends is Lockerz.

Be Safe and Just Buy From A Trusted Retailer!

The best thing is to do is to buy online even if not from a massive retailer. There are people who will email you the codes and can offer you a cheaper price for xbox live. However the best thing is to buy off somewhere like Amazon and get quite a good deal and know it is safe!

I would not actually recommend buying off the Xbox dashboard as it really is quite expensive.

Free Xbox Live Cards Summary

Summary (if you are really lazy you can just skip to this bit though you will lose out a little!)

In short you really should not trust sites that offer free xbox live codes because:

  1. There is always a catch
  2. Often these sites are just trying to get your personal details
  3. You might have to download software to get the "free xbox live codes" and then that software might contain spyware.
  4. It will not work
  5. Think about it - why would someone give away thousands of free xbox live codes to you - they must be gaining something from it
  6. Even if it did work it would be illegal and your xbox account can be banned
  7. It is a load of hassle

I know this is NOT what you want to hear but there is no such thing as free xbox live codes unless they come from Microsoft directly or you recieve a prepaid xbox live membership from a friend or someone.
The best bet really is finding a genuine seller who sends emails with cards on them (click the link for a review of one of these guys) or getting a cheap Xbox live membership from Amazon.
So the summary is there is no such thing as a free xbox live gold membership.
